The Buckden Parish Council has published its Annual Report. A paper copy of the Annual Report is being delivered to every household in the village bound in to the May edition of the Buckden Roundabout. The Annual Report is also available on-line on the Buckden Roundabout website.
The Highways Agency has announced its plans for the long-awaited upgrade of the A14. The plans are now out for consultation and the Agency is taking Roadshow around various villages which are affected. The Roadshow has already visited Buckden but you can catch the exhibition elsewhere.
After the success of the Parish Council Photo Competition in 2013, we are planning to run the competition again this year during the Buckden Festival weekend from 27th to 29th June. There will be three age categories). Within each age category there will be three themes: 1) Water; 2) Holidays; 3) Pets. The entry form will be in next month's (June's) edition of the Roundabout.
UK Power Networks has issued a document which informs users how to report a power cut. The document also explains about the Priority Service Register of vulnerable customers who receive extra help during a power cut.
The ever popular Buckden Towers Plant Sale will be held on Saturday 17th May starting at 11am. It's the event to attend if you want your garden filled with exciting plants this year. Fingers crossed for good weather.
