Abrief summary
of our actions
over thepast
year tomaintain,
and improve, the
quality of life in
our community.
Welcome to the2013-14Annual Report from theBuckdenParishCouncil.
This report isa summaryof theactions anddecisions takenbyBuckdenParishCouncil
over the last year, includingdetailsof finances.Wealso report our activities through
monthlymeetings, ourwebsite, articles inRoundabout andviaParishCouncil notice
boards in thevillage. There is apublic forumat the start of everyParishCouncilmeeting
whenwewelcomeyou toput forwardyour viewsor raise concerns.
Oneof thekey issues facingBuckden is, of course, thedevelopment of theA14. ThePar-
ishCouncil has longargued that the layout of anewA14 shouldallow sufficient space for
a futureby-pass for Buckden.Wearedelighted that the latest plans allow for thispossi-
bility.Wewill continue to raisevigorouslyother aspects of concern to thepeopleof
Buckden, particularlyenvironmental issues, bothduring thebuildingof thenew road
and its subsequent use.
