Huntingdonshire Health Walk Scheme
Huntingdon Group September 2017
This month, there are 9 Wednesday-afternoon/ Friday-morning
health walks. The one at 2pm on the 13th is centred on our
Village Hall car park. There is also a new `Hartford Marina'
walk, from 10am on the 15th, centred on the Barley Mow Pub,
Main Street, Hartford.
Health walks are of 45 - 80 minutes' duration. You walk at your
own pace but with the added benefits of being in the company
of other walkers plus trained walk leaders.
Weather-proof clothes and sturdy shoes are a must, and so is a
bottle of water, to avoid dehydration. There's usually a cup of
tea/coffee available to enjoy afterwards, if you so wish. Health
walking is a very companionable and healthy experience – your
company would be most welcome.

MONDAY CLUB
We are a social group of retired ladies who meet fortnightly
at 2.30pm in the Millard Room at Buckden Village Hall.
We enjoy a cup of tea as we chat and participate in a raffle.
Once a month we aim to organise a speaker or activity.
Our meetings for

will be:
04 September: A talk by St Neots Fire Service
18 September: A talk on Assistive Technology by the ‘Safe
and Well’ Service advising on available aids
and gadgets to help with independent liv-
ing
NB. This meetimg will be in the Lincoln
Room

ready. Tea, coffee and cake will be waiting for you.
Please come and admire the exhibits, meet up with friends and
chat over a cuppa, buy a raffle ticket or two and take time to
look at the stalls selling their goods.
