How you can help Buckden Village Hall when buying online

As you know Buckden Village Hall Trust is a charity and it costs a lot of money to maintain and repair this building. Did you

know that whenever you buy anything online – from your weekly shop to your annual holiday – you could be raising money

for Buckden Village Hall Trust? There are nearly 3,000 retailers including Amazon, John Lewis, M&S, Aviva and Tesco who

will donate a percentage of the amount you spend to Buckden Village Hall Trust to say thank you for shopping with them.

It’s really simple and doesn’t cost you anything. All you have to do is:

1. Go to

www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/buckdenvillagehall

2. Sign up for free

3. Get shopping! Your donations will be collected by easyfundraising and automatically sent to us!

There are no catches or hidden charges and Buckden Village Hall Trust will be extremely grateful for your donations :o)

Don’t forget that as residents of Buckden you all receive discounted rates on Hall hire. Please call or email me if you

would like to find out more information.

Cambridgeshire Police

Has summer really come and gone? I’m sure I saw the sun once. As we approach autumn and the nights start drawing in, I rec-

ommend that you begin to leave a light on when you are out. 24 hour timers are easy to use and quite cheap to buy and allows

you to set the timer to when you are out, leaving a light on in the home.

I was recently told of some quite disturbing graffiti being written in gold spray on the walls of the underpass beneath the A1.

Some of this is quite abusive wording and could cause upset. I ask if you see anyone hanging around the underpass area, wheth-

er they are children or adults, you call it into the Police on 101, and we will come and check it out. Also if you have any

knowledge or see anyone with gold spray paint or gold paint on their hands please call me direct on the details below, all calls

will remain anonymous.

We have had no serious crime of note to report over the past month, but please remain vigilant as crime is happening in neigh-

bouring villages.

Please keep safe and remember to report any suspicious activity on 101.

Film on a Farm held on Saturday 10th June

A quick Thank You to all of those who came along to Grease at Stirtloe Park, on Saturday June 10th. We hope you enjoyed

attending the event as much as we enjoyed hearing your renditions of "Oh Grease Lightning...". With thanks to your attendance

and generosity on the night we're able to donate £800 to the St. Mary's Church Buckden Restoration Appeal. Thank you again.
