Buckden - a Huntingdonshire Village

PB2.1.1 In the days of the Rifle Range and Hinsby’s shop on the far corner of Silver Street. From the quality and style of numbering this picture is from the Wisbech and Fenland Museum’s Coates Collection. The museum does not know the date but let us say the 1930s. The nearer corner shop is Peck’s the butcher. PB2.1.2 2008. Hinsby has sold his corner and the nearer was then a ladies’ dress shop. The Burberry Homes and the warden’s house occupy the site of the Rifle Range. There are often more parked cars in this view.
