That ’ s good news we want to share with all the world. So, then, what ’ s with all the chocolate, the eggs, chicks, bun- nies and flowers that go along with the celebrations these days? Surely, they have little to do with the real Easter mes- sage? Actually, even our English word ‘ Easter ’ is a throw - back to pagan Spring festivals. It ’ s just a name, nothing more. Cer- tainly eggs, chicks and so on chime happily with the Christian message of new life for all. Chocolate, though, however nice, has to be just commercial! Never mind. It all adds to a joyful celebration and Jesus him- self always loved a party, so let ’ s all join in. On the basis that ‘ If you can ’ t beat them, join them ” here ’ s an acrostic, offered with Easter greetings to all from Rev. Pam (Methodist) on behalf of BDCT.
