It is the time of the spring equinox, and with the clocks going forward imminently, we can start to look forward to brighter, longer evenings. The advent of spring means an increase in gardening activity! It is appropriate then that the Buckden Gardeners Association Spring show takes place on the Saturday immediately after this issue is released! Take a stroll down to the Village Hall and admire the efforts of those participating! Also in this edition, we continue our series of articles about local businesses. This month we have been speaking to the creators of Knot Garden gin, Saragusta spirits. A interesting chat with Alison and James! Turn to page 13 to find out more. As you will be aware, this year marks the Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Like most villages, Buckden plans to celebrate this auspicious occasion with a series of events across the bank holidays and following weekend of June 2nd to June 5th. There are events in various locations and something to suit everyone, regardless of age! See the current list of events on page 7. Allied to that, we are asking for your stories and memories relating to the Queen ’ s coronation in 1953. If you have some- thing you would like to share, please drop us an email to editor@buckdenroundabout.info - we ’ d be delighted to hear from you and share your story! Finally, if you own a local business and want to advertise in the Roundabout, please contact Fiona Shirley for details and prices via adverts@buckdenroundabout.info. Please remember to visit the Roundabout website. As well as every edition from 2013 onwards available to see, there are often articles there that we could not fit into the print edition, as well as information that arrives during the month.
