7 Buckden Roundabout August 2020 St Mary ’ s Church ST MARY ’ S OPENING ARRANGEMENTS Over the past few months, we have had to react quickly and make changes due to the COVID - 19 virus. In March this led to the closure of all church buildings and now we are taking steps to- wards their safe reopening. Circumstances are still changing so please check our website, roadside notice boards and social me- dia for the latest information. You are all are very welcome to join us for the services that are running in church. However, please note that due to problems with the water supply, there are no toilet facilities available at this time. The days and times may change, so please do check before vis- iting. Please comply with the safety measures in place and note that numbers are limited. For those unable to or uncomfortable with coming into church, our online services will continue as well. Private Prayer. We currently open the church on Mondays & Fridays 10am to 4pm for private prayers. Wednesday Communion. We currently hold a Communion Ser- vice at 9.30am each Wednesday. Sunday services: we are hoping to reintroduce Sunday Services at some point during August. ST MARY ’ S VIRTUAL WORSHIP, PRAYER AND SUPPORT WILL CONTINUE Sunday Service via Facebook and YouTube: A short liturgy, sermon and pewsheet are provided on the web- site and by email; a video of the service is uploaded to Facebook and YouTube in advance of 11am each Sunday. Weekday Services via Zoom: Evening prayer at 7pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday (see website for details) Saturday Coffee via Zoom: Join our Virtual Saturday Coffee Session via Zoom at 11am (see website for details). Each of the three days (24th, 25th, 26th August) we will post a video on our YouTube channel (St Mary ’ s Buckden) by 10.00am so that you can watch it and join in the activities! There will be songs to learn, a dance to join in with, a scav- enger hunt and story each day, a craft to try and much more. Sign up in advance and we will deliver a “ takeaway ” pack to you with everything you need to join in! (we plan to deliver the packs at least 72 hours before the event). You can send in photos of the craft you ’ ve made (no pictures of the children please), drawings and sea- side themed jokes to be included in the next day ’ s presenta- tion!
