10 Buckden Roundabout August 2021 Church News Weekly Prayer Roster Each week during the year the Churches, in their prayers, remember the residents of particular streets in the village, those who work in the parish and village organisations. Those to be remembered this month are: 1st August Mayfield, Springfield Close, The Osiers, Stirtloe 8th August Vineyard Way, Burberry Road, Swan End, Lark End, The Library and its librarians 15th August The churches of the village: St Hugh ’ s, St Mary ’ s, Buckden Methodist Church, also Perry Baptist Church, members of home groups from these and other local churches, ministers and all who make our churches welcoming and worshipful places 22th August Church Street, Mill Road, The Barns, The Old Flour Mills 29th August The Parish Council, The Village Hall and Playing Field Trust; those who help to run the Village Hall, and the activities there Coronavirus update: New HAM Centre opening at Whittlesey Library from 28 June and Cottenham Community Centre from 8 July. You can now make Battery Requests and book an appoint- ment to one of our HAM Centres using our new online book- ing system. If you are an NHS hearing aid user and your HEARING AID NEEDS CLEANING AND RE - TUBING you can book an appointment at one of our Hearing Aid Maintenance (HAM) Centres. To comply with social distancing regulations and Covid - 19 risk assessments, this is a ‘ drop off and wait outside the building ’, 20 minute service by appointment only. We ask that your hearing aids are handed to us in a sealed envelope labelled with your Name, Date of Birth, Postcode and contact phone number. You can also collect batteries at your appointment. Our opening dates are as follows: • Soham Library 1st Monday of the month, 10.30am - 2pm: Soham Library, 5/7 Clay Street, Soham CB7 5HJ • Ely Library 3rd Monday of the month, 10.30am - 1pm: Ely Library, 6 The Cloisters, Ely CB7 4ZH.
