11 Buckden Roundabout August 2021 Huntingdonshire Amateur Radio Society We meet at 7.30 on the 2 nd and 4 th Thursday each month at Buckden Village Hall. Whether licensed amateur or just interested in radio and electronics you will find a warm welcome, and a cup of tea, awaits you. Regretfully due to the coronavirus a decision has been made in line with government advice to cancel the our HARS Club meetings. We will review the meetings on a month by month basis until the health crisis is over. If any member needs help or knows of a member that needs help, please let the Chairman or any of the com- mittee know so that we can work together to ensure that assistance is given. Weather forecasts indicate some very hot days, so please (a) carry a bottle of drinking water to counter dehydration, (b) wear suitable clothes to match conditions, especially sturdy foot- wear, and (c) have a face - mask handy for the safety of vulnerable walkers. * Not suitable for new walkers. At each meeting we either have a guest speaker or partici- pate in an activity of our own. We then enjoy a cup of tea and biscuits, and participate in a raffle. As you will have gathered, we were unfortunately unable to resume Monday Club on 5 th July due to the continuation of Covid restrictions. We now sincerely hope that we can re- start on Monday 6 th September – fingers crossed! However, you are invited to a Strawberry Tea in the Scott ’ s garden, at 23 Bishops Way, on MONDAY 16 TH AUGUST and we look forward to seeing you all again. New members welcome. The Chairman, Barry Jobling, will be talking on the Lucks Lane archaeological work and the plans for a display in the Village Hall. Visitors and new mem- bers are very welcome. Children are free to all talks.
