We hope you have noticed that we have been marking each special season such as Harvest and Remembrance by display- ing our big cross, appropriately decorated, as a reminder that ‘ God is with us ’, to lift the hearts of passers - by. Look out for our Christmas cross later in December which will be a sign that the Methodist folk wish you all, in spite of the current circum- stances, an especially blessed and peaceful Christmas. Godmanchester Foodbank Christmas Hampers Godmanchester Foodbank operate all through out the year supporting people in Huntingdon, with food and other assis- tance, that are referred to them. Christmas can be a particularly demanding time, especially this year! Hopefully we can dig deep as a village again to sup- port people in our local area, as we have done for the last few years. If you would like to donate to the Christmas Hampers I will need your donations by Sunday the 6th December at the lat- est, so I can get them to the Foodbank in time. This year, in addition to food items (or instead of) they are asking for donations of toiletries, ie, shower gel, shampoo, soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, etc, as well as Christmas sweets & chocolates suitable for adults & children. Donations can be left on my porch at 53 Greenway, Buckden. You can text me on 07730478290 before you come to ensure I ’ m in. Thank you in advance Jo Redwood.
