As ever we are eternally grateful. We are looking for more photos and paintings of any kind that we could use as a front cover. We especially need photos and paintings of autumn scenes, and of events in the village. Please note that photos should ideally be in portrait format and should be a minimum of 2400 x 1700 pixels. I feel I should be wishing you all a Happy New Year, but it ’ s a bit late now (and has already been done in the Janu- ary edition, delivered before New Year!) it ’ s been an odd start of winter so far, weather wise. We ’ ve had some very cold spells, but little actual snow. However, what we ’ ve lacked in snow has more than been up by rain! I am grateful that I have rarely had to scrape the car wind- screen clear of frost early in the morning, and long may that continue! As ever, we have tried to include some interesting articles. One I would draw your attention to can be found on page 4 and concerns how to safely dispose of batteries, particularly those contained within electronic and portable devices, of which we all seem to have more and more (Well I know I do at least—everything needs charging!) As we say on many an occasion, the Roundabout depends on it ’ s contributions to fill the magazine every month. If you have an interesting article you ’ d like to share with the village, please do contact us using the editor ’ s email address further down this page. Similarly, if you run a regular gathering in the village or have a specific event you ’ d like to promote, please let us know. Many such announcements are free to include, but we do reserve the right to charge an appropriate fee for advertising if we feel it is required. Please remember to visit the Roundabout website. As well as every edition from 2013 onwards available to see, there are often articles there that we could not fit into the print edition, as well as information that arrives during the month.
