This is also be an opportunity for patients to provide feedback on using the surgeries at both Buckden and Little Paxton. Further details on Facebook and at both surgeries. We have recently received two important notifications from Buckden and Little Paxton Surgeries (the Practice): 1. The impact of the recent Government announcement to increase employer National Insurance (NI) contribu- tions. NHS organisations have been told they will re- ceive additional funding to reimburse costs of this in- crease, but they have explicitly stated that this com- pensation will not apply to GP practices. Due to the huge and unprecedented rise in workload, the Practice has made the difficult decision to stop providing certain requests by Secondary Care. Buckden Youth Club new term 16 th January 2025 Who are we? We are a youth club aiming to give the young people of the area somewhere safe, relaxed and fun to spend time with their friends. We run for those in school years 7 to 11. The club is run by a group of volunteers who have been through the appropriate safeguarding training and are all DBS cleared. We have been successfully running this group since October 2018 with a break due to the Coronavirus Pandemic. Where are we? We run weekly during term time on Thurs- days 7.00 - 8.00pm at Buckden Towers What do we offer? We have several activities and resources available each week including: • Playstation 4 with the latest games • Football/outdoor games area • Tuck shop stocking various sweet treats, crisps and soft drinks • Milkshake Bar offering a number of different flavours • Board Games and Cards • Arts and Crafts • Chill out space We will open on 16 th January 2025 for the Spring Term Look forward to seeing you there!
