We are disappointed that Buckfest 2020 was cancelled, but check out the feature on pages 16 and 17 of this edition. We are looking for more paintings of any kind that we could use as a front cover. We can photograph them if you only have original artwork. We are also keen to get images (photos or paintings) of the village and surrounding areas in prepara- tion for future issues. Please note that images should ideally be in portrait format and should be a minimum of 2400 x 1700 pixels. More is better! As the coronavirus lockdown has eased, the editorial team of the Roundabout has been working to plan the return of the printed magazine delivered to every home in Buckden, Diddington and Stirtloe. I can tell you now that we hope to back in print for the September edition, due to be delivered in the last week of August. Of course, we shall con- tinue to monitor the situation, and will respond appropriately to any government advice, but as things stand, we are very hopeful that we can return then. We are making a plea for new distributors. A couple of our distributors have left the area, and one or two others do not feel able to continue delivering in the current circumstances. We will also need new distributors for the Luck ’ s Lane estate as the houses are built and occupied. If you are able to spare an hour or so once a month to help us out please contact us at distribution@buckdenroundabout.info . Existing distributors who have not yet responded to our e - mail, please check your junk mail and respond. Thank you. In spite of the fact that July ’ s edition of the Roundabout is published on - line only, we have lots of interesting content for you. Wendy Trattner continues the story of Buckden School through the years, covering the late Victorian era. As you know, Buckfest 2020 was due to be held in July, but sadly had to be cancelled. The organising team are keen to raise funds for the charities which would have benefitted from the festival. They are great causes, and we are carrying a spe- cial Buckfest 2020 feature to promote those charities. You can find the feature on pages 16 and 17 of this month ’ s edition. Please remember to visit the Roundabout website. There are often articles there that we could not fit into the print edition, as well as information that arrives during the month: http:// www.buckdenroundabout.info/ This month ’ s editor - Alec MacAndrew Editor ’ s Page
