Definitely time to get the fans down from their winter home in the loft! We were lucky enough to have some of that summer weather over the Jubilee weekend, but sadly not for the whole week- end! A wide variety of events took place across the village, supported by businesses, village organisations, volunteers and the residents of the village! It was great to see so many peo- ple actively involved in this historic, national event. You can find photos and report of some of the activities in this edition. Photos on pages on 13 and 16 are well worth a look. It was also great to see the return of another regular village event when the Friends of Buckden Towers were able to hold their annual plant sale for the first time since 2019! More de- tails can be found on page 17. It ’ s July and that means Buckfest is back, and in its traditional slot too. Voted the best festival in East Anglia in 2021, and the best festival in Cambridgeshire for the last 5 years, it really is now a special event and an asset to the village. As ever, this year is as much about raising funds for local good causes as it is the music, and so far they have raised well in excess of £50000 over the 11 previous events. July 16 th promises to be another great day, and I have my fingers crossed for good weather! There are some great events happening over the summer and autumn so remember to regularly check the diary pages to ensure you do not miss out! Please remember to visit the Roundabout website. As well as every edition from 2013 onwards available to see, there are often articles there that we could not fit into the print edition, as well as information that arrives during the month.
