Buckfest continues to raise significant funds for local charities. We are looking for more photos and paintings of any kind that we could use as a front cover. We especially need photos and paintings of autumn scenes, and of events in the village. We should be grateful for photos (or even paintings!) of the coro- nation celebrations in the village. Please note that photos should ideally be in portrait format and should be a minimum of 2400 x 1700 pixels. More is better! It was a similar story last year, but hopefully we don ’ t quite reach the 40 degree days we saw in July 2022. It ’ s July and it ’ s Buckden, and that means the return of Buck- fest for another year. In 2022, it was awarded the best festival in Cambridgeshire for the 6th year in a row! It ’ s always a great day and it raises a lot of money for some very worthwhile causes. With the amounts anticipated to be raised this year, the total raised by Buckfest since it started will top £100,000! Buckfest is not the only event in the village over the summer months as various clubs, societies and organisations put on events. Details for many of these events can be found within the ‘ For Your Diary ’ pages, but adverts for events appear throughout the magazine. If you get a chance, please pop to Buckden library. A couple of members of our team have put together a display all about how we produce and distribute Buckden Roundabout every month. As we say very often, this is your magazine - we are merely the current custodians of the process. I ’ ve been in- volved, along with many of the current team, for 10 years - and I love it! We ’ d love more people to get involved in helping us put this magazine together, whether that be through submitting arti- cles, helping with the administration of advertising or with the monthly distribution. The posters on display in the library pro- vide information on what we do! If you are interested in getting involved, please contact us using the details below and one of the team will be in touch! Please remember to visit the Roundabout website. As well as every edition from 2013 onwards available to see, there are often articles there that we could not fit into the print edition, as well as information that arrives during the month. The online edition of the magazine is in full colour: www.buckdenroundabout.info This month ’ s editor - Ian Carter Editor ’ s Page
