19 Buckden Roundabout June 2021 Sports Buckden Junior Football Club We ’ ve made it to the end of the season, not quite the one we had hoped it would be but grateful to have been able to finish this year. All of us at BJFC would like to thank all our players, parents and coaches for all their amazing help, patience, trust and support you ’ ve given us all in an unprecedented and unusual year. Committee Departures We are sad to announce that 2 of our committee members have decided to step down at the end of this season. Alan Lew- ey, who has been our CWO for the past 4 years, and Mark Rix, who is our assistant CWO. Thank you to you both for your dedication, hard work and for giving up your time over the years to be part of our club – we wish you all the best for the future. Huge Congratulations go to our U13 Eagles, who became champions of the Hunts Youth League U13 11 - a - side. An equally huge Congratulations go to our U11 Raptors Black team who won the Hunts Youth League Fair Play award for 2020/2021 season. Well deserved and a wonderful way to end a difficult year. Details of our Dribblers and Development sessions. Our Dribblers sessions are now split into two - older dribblers (school year 1) and younger dribblers (age 3 and above). Older dribblers play on a Saturday from 9am, younger dribblers play on a Sunday morning from 9am. We also run weekly development sessions. The aim of these sessions is to give children aged U7 - U10 (school years 2 - 5) a chance to learn the skills they need to assist them in the future with finding a team – please contact us for more details.
