17 Buckden Roundabout June 2022 Village News Buckden Junior Football Club As another season comes to a close, our first uninterrupted one for 2 years – we are looking forward to taking a well earned break for a couple of months before getting ready to start again in September. U12 Fair Play Winners Our U12 Raptors Black team have won this years U12 Hunts Youth League Fair Play Trophy. The Raptors Black also won this award last year at U11, which is a huge achievement and very reflective of our Clubs ethos – so huge congratulations to the coaches and the team. U10 League Plate Finalists Massive congratulations go to our U10 Caracaras White team who reached the final of the Hunts Youth League U10 Plate. They narrowly missed out on a victory, but another fantastic achievement by all players and coaches – well done! Falls prevention exercise class in Buckden! It ’ s never too late to start exercising! The One Leisure Active Lifestyles team offer specialist exercise classes for older adults and people with medical conditions. The classes we run are fun, friendly and taught by highly quali- fied exercise professionals. All classes are suitable for people wanting to exercise for the first time or those returing to exer- cise after a medical condition. The RightStart 3 has been spe- cially designed to improve strength and balance which will re- duce the risk of having falls. This class starts on Thursday 9 th June from 11:00am – 12:00pm, at Buckden Village Hall and will run weekly. This will be on a trial basis to ensure that there is enough demand to continue. Fingers crossed! Classes cost £4.20 or £37 for 10 classes for the hour and partic- ipants are encouraged to turn up 10 minutes early to meet the instructor and to complete a short health questionnaire before their first session.
