12 Buckden Roundabout March 2022 For Your Diary The Huntingdonshire Local Group of the Wildlife Trust invites you to participate in a guided walk at Godmanchester Nature Reserve on Sunday March 27 th 2022 at 10.30 am. Godmanchester Nature Reserve consists of 4 lakes which are former gravel pits and therefore attracts a wide variety of birds, particularly ducks, geese and kingfishers. There are also areas of grassland and ancient hedgerow, making a diverse habitat for wildlife. At this time of year we hope to see and hear singing chiff chaffs, cettis warblers, reed buntings and skylarks. We will look for wildflowers such as coltsfoot, celan- dine, cowslip and violets. Given good weather, we may also see the first butterflies such as brimstone, comma and small tortoiseshell and possibly see housemartins overhead. Please meet at the reserve entrance at the end of Cow Lane, PE29 2EJ, GR TL2639 7149. There is parking available, but it is limited. Everyone is most welcome to attend.
