8 Buckden Roundabout May 2020 St Mary ’ s Church Greetings from St Mary ’ s Over the past few weeks/months, we have all had to react quickly to changing circumstances and advice as the spread of the COVID - 19 virus progressed. As this article is prepared in advance, we do not yet know whether we will be able to hold any physical services and events in May or whether social distancing measures will still be in place. As a church, our use of email, website and social media has increased drastically. We have found many ways that we can be together (albeit not physically) and give support and encouragement to one another. Every Day: Jes has been providing a thought for the day most days which is shared via our Facebook page “ St Mary ’ s Buckden ” and website. Every week: At 11am each Sunday and 9.30 each Wednes- day, if possible, we all set aside time to pray. Although not together physically, we do pray together at those times. For Sunday a short liturgy, sermon and pewsheet are pro- vided on the website and by email. Videos of some Sun- days are available on the YouTube channel “ St Mary ’ s Buckden ”. Anytime: All of our social media forums are being updated frequently providing links to all sorts of resources for wor- ship, prayer, music etc. Website: www.stmarysbuckden.org.uk Facebook “ St Mary ’ s Buckden ” Twitter @A1ChurchBuckden YouTube St Mary ’ s Buckden If you know of anyone who is unable access our online re- sources, please let us know and we will try to arrange for paper copies to be delivered wherever possible.
