4 Buckden Roundabout November 2020 Buckden Parish Council Buckden Parish Council News... Council Website We have mentioned before that we have a new website. It really does give a lot of information about what the Parish Council is doing. It ’ s well worth looking at and if you sign up for the newsletter you will get all the latest updates. GO TO www.buckden pc.org.uk Parish Council Meetings The current COVID situation means that the Parish Council, has decided that for the next few months, until the situation improves, all Parish Council, Planning and Advisory Group meetings will continue to be online. If you wish to attend an online meeting you will find instructions on the web site. Highways Councillors are meeting with Highways on 21 st October to receive further updates about proposals for the Roundabout. We will post information about the outcome of that meeting on the website. Planning White Paper The Council is in the process of finalising their response to the Planning White Paper on behalf of the village. Our response will be posted on the website. Neighbourhood Plan We are pleased to report that the Examiner has now re- viewed the Neighbourhood Plan and whilst he has suggested some modifications, he says that subject to those modifica- tions, it meets what is known as the “ Basic Conditions ”. This means that we are well on the way to having a Plan that will, once Local Government restrictions are lifted in May next year, be able to come out to resi- dents for referendum. Thanks to all those involved in developing the plan. Budget setting The Parish Council is already into planning the budget for next year. Committee and Advisory groups are submitting their priorities for expenditure for consideration by the Finance Advisory Group. If you, as a resident, have any thoughts about projects that you think might benefit the village which you would like the Parish Council to consider please email clerk@buckdenpc.org.uk Council Meetings The next Council meeting will be at 7.30pm on Tuesday 10 th November. The meeting will include a 15 - minute open forum. If you want to speak at the meeting, please let us know what you want to say, by contacting the Parish Clerk. You will get a three - minute slot. This meeting will be an on - line only meeting. If you want to join the meeting instructions are on the web site. The Council Planning Committee will also meet if required. This will be an online meeting. Agendas for these meetings are posted on the Parish notice boards no later than the Sat- urday preceding the meeting. Office opening hours The office is currently closed, and the Parish Clerk is working from home. All of the papers and reports for Council Meetings are available on the Thursday before meetings on Council website www.buckdenpc.org.uk .This provides the opportunity to see the agenda, reports of work carried out by the Council as well as reports from out County and District Councillors.
