MONDAY CLUB We are a social group of ladies who meet fortnightly at 2.30pm in the Millard Suite at Buckden Village Hall. At each meeting we either have a guest speaker or partici- pate in an activity of our own. For further information contact Ann Elliott 01480 810346 Buckden Local History Society November 3rd The History of Papworth Hospital 1918 - 2018 By Becky Proctor Becky will cover the early experiment for tuberculosis patients in the village of Bourn to the move to Papworth Hall in 1918, and the later development of Papworth Village Settlement, the creation of Papworth Hospital, and currently the move to the new site on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus in May 2019. New members and visitors welcome. The talk will be given in the King ’ s Room, Buckden Towers, at 7.30 pm.
