10 Buckden Roundabout November 2022 For Your Diary Operation Christmas Child Shoe Box Appeal 2022 This is now a Buckden Community event with different organ- isations taking part. Buckden Methodist Church being the centre of it, as it is now a registered drop off centre for shoe- boxes and has been recognised as a Church Collection Centre. Buckden Methodist Church will be OPEN with refreshments on Mondays 14 th and 21 st November also Friday 18th November, between 2pm and 4:30pm to drop off completed shoeboxes, empty shoeboxes, donations of items or money. The shoeboxes will be collected and started on their journey after 22 nd November. Thank you very much to those who have already donated items, boxes and money and those who are busy knitting and sewing. It is very much appreciated. Operation Christmas Child is a worthwhile charity making a difference at Christmas, by giving shoe boxes containing small gifts to children in poor countries. Rivers, Catchments and Biodiversity; Anglian Water ’ s Environment Plan The next meeting of the Huntingdonshire Local Group of the Wildlife Trust will be held on Wednesday 9th November at 7.30pm when we will be pleased to welcome back Chris Ger- rard. Chris worked for The Wildlife Trust for many years before join- ing Anglian Water as their Catchment and Biodiversity Manag- er. Tonight, Chris will tell us about Anglian Water ’ s biodiversi- ty work and their planned investment to enhance the environ- ment. Everyone is most welcome to attend. Registered Charity No: 1000412 Quiz Night at Buckden Towers Friday 4 th November 2022, 7.30 pm The Friends of Buckden Towers are delighted to say that our popular Quiz Night is back on Friday 4 th November 2022 at 7.30 pm. Entry will be £5 per person and will include a glass of wine and nibbles. Quizzers are invited to bring their own refreshments, as well, if required. There will also be a raffle and a Heads and Tails competition, so please bring a little extra cash for those. Prizes will be available for the winning team! Please remember that all our proceeds go to support the upkeep of the beautiful, and unique, Buckden Towers buildings. Numbers are limited to 8 teams with a maximum of 6 players in each team.
