This years Macmillan Coffee Morning, held in Perry Baptist Church at the beginning of October, has seen a tremendous response. By uniting to- gether to support this charity £355 has been raised to support many who are suffering from cancer. Many thanks to all who gave their support, including some from Buckden. As well as the usual tea/coffee, cakes and bacon rolls there were also books made available from a local author. The 1 st book, From Barren Rocks to Living Stones, tells the true story of a British teenager living in the middle East in the 1960's in the heart of the terrorism of the day. The 2 nd book, Paradise Island, Heavenly Journey, tells of a young British family living in Singapore at the end of the British colonial presence.
