The good news is that our new minister has arrived and in- troduces herself here: Hello Buckden! Most of you will know Revd. Pam Siddall is handing over to a new Minister from September. That ’ s me! I am de- lighted to have joined the St Neots and Huntingdon Methodist Circuit and to be serving as Buckden and 3 other Methodist Churches ’ minister. I have been asked to pen a few words about myself ……… I am joining you after 20 years in North London where I have been worshipping at Muswell Hill Methodist Church. Prior to going into ministry, I had a long and ex- citing career in the charity sector ending up as CEO and have spent a good deal of time helping a wide variety of organisations with their reviews and strategic planning. I have also had the privilege of serving as a trustee for various charities and had some interesting experiences as a Non - Executive Director for public sector bodies! Since doing a master ’ s in theology I have felt called go further into ministry and have recently completed train- ing Queen ’ s Foundation – the fantastic ecumenical train- ing college in Birmingham. Danny, my husband, and I moved to St Neots in August and we have quickly settled in although more change is afoot for us as our daughter Charlotte is off to university in the next few weeks (Covid permitting!). However, we are all excited by returning to non - city and rural life – I originally come from Godalming in Surrey and Danny heralds from Ireland. We will be joined intermittently, and as soon as permissi- ble, by Kieran who lives in care home in Buckingham- shire. I am very much looking forward to getting to know people here, being part of your community and learning about how God is present and expressed in the lives of the people here. Revd Sue Baker - Maher This year ’ s Poppy Appeal, like everything else, s affected by Covid 19 restrictions so this year there will be no door to door collections. There will be collecting “ tins ” and trays of poppies in participating shops, pubs etc. There will be some of us unable to get to shops etc. so please, if you know some- one who can ’ t get out you may want to get a poppy for them. If you can ’ t get a poppy please contact: Tim or Ce Walker (Buckden Poppy Appeal Organisers) at 01480 811844
