At each meeting we either have a guest speaker or partici- pate in an activity of our own. Churchill said of the Battle 'The only thing that ever really frightened me dur- ing the war was the U - boat peril.' Mark Bunting examines how the Allies defeated the 'U - boat peril' and won the Battle of the Atlantic. The talk will be given in the King ’ s Room, Buckden Towers, at 7.30 pm.
