New Love To Move sessions Love To Move sessions, run by the One Leisure Active Life- styles team who also run the popular Right Start classes, are an age and dementia friendly seated gymnastics programme which is transforming the lives of people living with demen- tia. The classes are suitable for people wanting to exercise for the first time or those returning to exercise after a medi- cal condition. These sessions are weekly and run on Wednesday ’ s 2pm – 3pm in the main Hall. For more details please call Danielle on 01480 388111. No Parking at the Hall Friday 28th – Sunday 30th October We have the annual Jivenites Crystal Blues weekend from Friday 28th October to Sunday 30th October inclusive. This is always a very well - attended event and the car park will be full over the weekend. There will be no room for any cars relating to football or other events, particularly on the Sat- urday. We politely request that any cars relating to any football matches or other events park outside the school and walk the couple of minutes to the playing field. This will ensure that the cars directly related to the event in the main Hall can park in the car park and therefore don ’ t park along Burberry Road/Vineyard Way, causing issues for local resi- dents. Valley update We are delighted to report that over the summer Buckden Parish Council purchased an established floating island which has been installed in the Valley to help mitigate the effects of the very hot weather which had caused the stream which feeds the Valley to dry up which has caused the water quality to deteriorate. The roots of the plants on the floating island extend 1.5m into the water, providing shelter and sucking out pollutants. The island will provide cover for fish and a natural food larder for insects and inver- tebrates whilst also filtering water, removing excess nutri- ents, phosphate and nitrates.
