          QualityCouncil Status

          move forward inour aim toachieveQualityCouncil status.Webelieve this is important becausewewant todo the
        
        
          best for thepeopleof Buckdenandbecause it shouldbringfinancial benefits.
        
        
          Diddington to joinus
        
        
          – Following theelectionson22May2014, Diddington residentswill be representedby
        
        
          BuckdenParishCouncil. TheParishCouncil hopes towelcome representativesofDiddingtononto the council in
        
        
          order that the viewsof this community canbeproperly reflected indecision-making.
        
        
          Councillor changes
        
        
          —After a coupleof stableyears, this yearwehaveexperienced changes in councillors. Thanks
        
        
          shouldgo toEllenBarrett,DaveGriffin, Rosemary SurridgeandChristineTewsonwhohave leftusduring the year
        
        
          andwelcome toour new, energetic councillors IanBennett, JohnMooreandTimWalker.
        
        
          At theelectionon22May,wewill alsobe losingour longest-serving councillor, JuneWoods.
        
        
          Junehasbeenaparish councillor since22May1968, sowill have served for exactly46years. Buckdenhas changed
        
        
          enormously since thattimebut still remains thegreat community that Junefirstmoved toduringWorldWar II.
        
        
          After somanyyears service, ‘thankyou’ seemsan inadequatephasebutwe know that councillors, staffand
        
        
          residents alikewill join together todo just that. Thankyou, June,wewillmiss you.
