PB2.5.1 1979 “The Valley” next to the playing field. The pond is believed to date back to the days when the Palace grew grapes on the adjacent vineyards and bred fish for the table. PB2.5.2 1993 The Valley after restoration by ‘Mac’ and his friends known as Waders Anonymous. The painting is by Eileen O’Meara of Mollymook, New South Wales, who was sent a photograph from which she worked. The swans had mixed fortunes when nesting here due to the unwanted attention of dogs and even children.
