And what a strange year it was. On the positive side, lockdowns and self - isolation have become distant memories for most of us. On the other hand, political turmoil, the war in Ukraine, rising energy prices and inflation are making life difficult for many people. Turn to page 16 for an article by the Parish Council on what you can do to help people in crisis. There is also a list of public “ warm spaces ” in the usual Parish Council piece on page 4 and a note about how to donate to Godmanchester Foodbank Christmas Hamper programme on page 14. I know that many residents are concerned about access to GP services in the village. We have an active Patient Participation Group, which represents patients of the GP Practice, and which has just held its annual general meeting. Turn to page 5 for a report on the AGM which describes some of the chal- lenges faced by our Practice and emphasises the need for more funding. We need someone to help our Commercial Manager liaise with our advertisers who are our only source of revenue. Please, please consider helping us. We are all volunteers, we are sometimes pressed for time, and without advertising reve- nue there can be no Roundabout. We are a very friendly team who have a great deal of fun producing the magazine. To find out more contact us at adverts@buckdenroundabout.info .
