March 2019

Huntingdonshire Health Walk Scheme March 2019

The group now has a choice of almost 30 safe walks, led by

trained walk leaders. These happen on Wednesdays at 2pm

and Fridays at 10am, excluding Bank Holidays.

So in March, there will be 9 walks, one of which -- on the 22nd

-- will be from the village hall. (In future, Godmanchester walks

will be from The Black Bull PH, 32 Post Street, Godmanchester,

PE29 2AQ). Anyone whose exercise-walking pace is OK for

about an hour will enjoy the variety of routes and the sociabil-

ity of healthwalking.

It is important to wear all-weather clothing and footwear, and

be carrying a bottle of drinking water to avoid dehydration.

The scheme includes (free) insurance cover and is also subsi-

dised, so voluntary contributions are gratefully received. De-

tails appear in the brochure. Venues are normally close to after

-walk refreshment areas and the usual facilities.
