I for one have had to start rooting out my winter wardrobe! This edition of the Roundabout features 2 calls for volunteers. The Roundabout is run by a dedicated team of volunteers and we are looking for someone to help with the advertising ad- ministration. If you think you would like to join the team and assist, please email our Advertising Manager, Fiona Shirley, at adverts@buckdenroundabout.info Another established village institution, Buckden Village Club, is also looking for volunteers to join the committee and help run the club alongside the newly appointed manager Michelle. In particular, they are looking for someone to take on the role of treasurer from the start of 2023. If you feel this could be you, please see the club advert on page 21 details on who to contact. As this is the November issue, and with the advent season fast approaching there are a couple of events to draw your atten- tion to. Firstly, the return of the Buckden Christmas Market on November 27 th , with the switching - on of the Christmas lights in the afternoon. Always a popular event with produce stalls, gift stalls, food stalls, games and activities ably assisted by our local hostelries providing traditional Christmas market fare. More details on page 10. The same day sees the start of the Wreath festival in St Mary ’ s church - details can be found on page 11. Please remember to visit the Roundabout website.
