FRIENDS IN DEED
Our AGM will be held on 10
th
October 2018 at 4.30pm
in the Living Stones Room in St Mary’s, immediately
following on from the Drop-in Café. The guest speaker will be Mark Ward, a Buckden resident, who is on
the staff of RSPB, with a talk entitled ‘Wildlife on your Doorstep’. We hope that as many of you as possible
will come along, not only Friends in Deed but anyone else who is interested in what we do. You could have
a cuppa and a piece of cake at the Drop-in beforehand but
please come early
as we need to have cleared
everything away by 4pm!
August is usually a quiet month for our drivers but this last August proved to be busier than normal. We are also supporting two
more villagers by providing a dedicated visitor for them. You may know of someone in the village who can’t get out and about
much, or who would just like someone to talk to. If they would like an occasional visitor, please do get in touch with us and we
will see what we can do to help.
The Drop-in Café is open on the second Wednesday of each month, 10 October being the next date, in the Living Stones Room
in St Mary’s Church, 2.30pm to 4pm. If you like homemade cakes, tea and coffee, and a friendly atmosphere, why not come
along and join us? Transport is available within the village on request (see below).
