December/January Match Results
There were fewer results this month because Section 2 fixtures for Mini-Soccer teams finished in mid-
December and of course there was the Christmas/New Year break for all teams. Section 3 Mini-Soccer fixtures
commenced in mid-January.

qualified – you just need to be able to do the job! If you wish to find out more, please contact Buckden JFC Secretary
Bob Crane
(01480 434610 / robertcrane46@yahoo.co.uk).
Buckden Dribblers Welcome New Players and Need Coaches

LAWN/GARDEN CARE IN FEBRUARY
Moss
: Moss will start to encroach now and it is advisable to treat now before it com-
petes with the lawn. Don’t wait until the spring.
Aeration:
Soil compaction is a frequent cause of turf deterioration and moss inva-
sion. For optimal effectiveness the lawn needs aerating in autumn/winter.
Mower Servicing
: The grass should now be dormant so make sure your mower goes
in for its annual service and blade sharpening in readiness for Feb/March mowing!
Garden Tidy
: A good time of year to prune back shrubs and tidy borders to make
room for spring bulbs emerging soon.
