April 2016

April 2016

It has been a month of extremes, weather wise,

since our last issue. A reasonable amount of

snow early on, and then some very warm, sun-

ny days just recently! I expect many of you took

advantage of the good weather to get back into

the garden and start all the work required after

winter - that’s exactly what the volunteers did

recently at St Mary’s.

We’d like to thank everyone who responded to

our plea for additional distributors in the last edi-

tion - we had our best response to such a plea

for some time! Anyone who contacted us and

offered their services should, by now, have re-

ceived a response.

Finally a quick word of warning. There was an

attempted distraction burglary in Silver Street

recently - the suspects claimed to be from the

Water Board. Please reduce your risk of becom-

ing a victim by using a chain if you have one,

and by asking and checking for ID. A genuine

visitor will not object to a thorough check of their

credentials.

Please remember to visit the website. There are

often articles there that we could not fit into the

print edition, as well as information that arrives

during the month. The address is:
