Buckden Roundabout
January 2020
Sport
Buckden Junior Football Club
A suitably cold and wet end to 2019 saw
some games postponed for us, as our home
pitches continue to suffer with the extreme
rainfall. Our huge thanks to the team at Pro-
Lawn Care for looking after our pitch for us in
these conditions, to ensure that it is pre-
served for the rest of the season.
Christmas Market Tombola
Thank you to those that helped with and visited our Tombola
stall at the Buckden Christmas Market - all money goes to-
wards equipment and provisions for the club.

World History & Culture
Tutor: Marina Burrell
The course introduces some remarkable Russian women who
made a considerable contribution to Russian and world His-
tory and Culture. A princess and a diplomat, a terrorist and a
poet, an opera singer who sang for Benjamin Britten and a
ballerina who made a revolution in ballet. Their lives were
full of hardships and pleasures, excitement and bewildering
twists. How were they affected by diverse historical and po-
litical contexts? What was extraordinary about Soviet wom-
en?
