BUCKDEN JUNIOR FOOTBALL CLUB
Buckden Dribblers Run A Fundraising Session
On Saturday 5th May, Buckden Dribblers ran a Fundraising session in support of the nationally-run event Children's Activities
Week which was themed #WatchMeFly. Children's Activities Week is a celebration of the hundreds of thousands of activities,
clubs and classes benefiting millions of parents and children every day across the UK (

Buckden Dribblers has been running for as long as Buckden JFC has existed and the number of children attending has really
grown over the last few years with children not just from Buckden but from other local villages too. We decided to support this
event and Charity because there are huge benefits to children being physically active and we want to celebrate the ones that
are, and encourage more to be - we had 3 or 4 new faces on Saturday morning which is great! And in total, we raised £100 for
Caudwell Children who provide family support services, equipment, treatment and therapies for disabled children across the
UK, as well as running a Enable Sports programme for disabled athletes and Destination Dreams holidays for very poorly chil-
dren. Buckden Dribblers is a huge asset to our village and to our children - please continue to support, attend and spread the
word about us (particularly because
we need

for next year too!)

Buckden Tennis Club
With the arrival of the sunshine and longer days the tennis club at Buckden has come to life again. The courts are located be-
hind the village hall, next to the playing fields. We welcome people of all ages and abilities, whether you are an experienced
player, want to get back into tennis or just fancy taking out the game!
Our 4 all-weather hard-courts are open 7 days a week, all year round, with floodlighting to county standard. We have lots of
club tournaments throughout the summer, with the first opportunity to win silverware at the Maurice Pepper Mixed Doubles
on 9
th
June. We also have mens, ladies and mixed teams competing in Hunts & Peterborough and Cambridgeshire Summer
Leagues. We're always looking for new team members so please let us know if you're interested in joining us.
Social Play is a great way to meet up with other members and takes place on Saturdays and Sundays mornings and Wednesday
evenings. All members are welcome – no one is left out. The courts are free to members to use at other times if they wish to
arrange their own games.
For those looking to brush up their skills or learn new techniques, LTA licensed coaching is available for adults and juniors
through Over and In. Please contact our coach Matt Sanders (matt@overandin.com). Coaching is available on 1:1 basis and
group sessions can also be arranged.
