FRIENDS IN DEED
The Friends in Deed Summer Tea Party was held on the 8
th
August at Field House and we would
like to express our sincere thanks to Jane Shepard who very kindly hosted the event. The weather
was pleasantly cooler and a record number of 50 people came along to enjoy great company, tea
and a variety of homemade cakes. Very many thanks to all those who helped organise the event
and to members who provided cakes, gave lifts and helped out on the day, making it such an en-
joyable occasion. The ‘backroom’ team were brilliant!
The next
Drop-in Café will be held on Wednesday 12th September
(and subsequently on the second Wednesday of
each month) in the Living Stones Room in St Mary’s Church, 2.30pm to 4pm. If you like homemade cakes, tea or
coffee, and a friendly atmosphere, why not come along and join us. All are welcome and transport is available within
the village on request (see below).
