DECEMBER LAWN CARE
Moss -
Moss will start to encroach now and it is advis-
able to treat now before it competes with the lawn.
Treating now allows the moss to die back and the grass
to fill in. Don't leave until the spring as it will not be as
effective
Aeration
- Soil compaction is a frequent cause of turf
deterioration and moss invasion. For optimal effective-
ness the lawn needs aerating in autumn/winter. Over
sow additional grass to help any bare areas re-establish
before weeds and moss do!
Top Tip—Mowing
- Please mow lawn before Christmas
it if needs it. A striped up lawn will be pleasing on the
eye as you gaze out after a big Christmas meal.
