FRIENDS IN DEED
The
WINTER TEA PARTY will
take place
Methodist Church Hall on Wednesday 13
th
February from 2.30-4.00pm. As always,
lifts can easily be arranged on request for
those invited to come along by calling our
Transport Coordinator, number below. If
you are not on our invitation list but would like to join us for
this social event then please call Brenda Steadman on 810382

We can help out with transport to a variety of locations in-

not Buckden Surgery, which has its own transport scheme,
contact Reception), and village events - if family, friends or
public transport can’t oblige.
If anyone needs support with shopping or errands during bad
weather or is housebound and would like a visit from one of
our friendly volunteers then do give our Coordinator a call.

DRIVERS WANTED
Could you be a volunteer community driver? Could you
help transport people to hospital appointments and
around the village? Friends In Deed needs more drivers
to assist with transport for Buckden residents. There are
no fixed commitments, a driver only volunteers when
they are available to undertake a journey. Most destina-
tions are local to Huntingdon or St Neots. Friends in Deed
is registered with Cambs CC as a Community Transport
Scheme and mileage is paid. The scheme is coordinated
in Buckden by Andy Scott and you can call him on 811468
for more details. All you need is a driving licence, a car
and an email address – and a little spare time!
