Moss -
Moss will start to encroach now and it is advis-
able to treat now before it competes with the lawn. Don't
leave until the spring.
Aeration
- Soil compaction is a frequent cause of turf
deterioration and moss invasion. For optimal effective-
ness the lawn needs aerating in autumn/winter.
Mower Servicing
- The grass should now be dormant
so make sure your mower goes for it’s annual service
and blade sharpening in readiness for Feb/March mow-
ing!
Garden Tidy
A good time of year to prune back shrubs
and tidy borders to make room for spring bulbs emerg-
