our opening hours survey last month. We’re currently col-
lating the information and more news will follow in due
course. Your feedback really does help us.
Summer Reading Challenge
If your child hasn’t signed up for the free Space Chase Read-
ing Challenge this summer, there is still time if you’re quick!
For each book your child reads they can collect a sticker
which completes the story in the Space Chase Mission Folder.
Collect all 6 stickers and they will receive a certificate and
medal at our
awards ceremony on Friday 20th September at
5.30pm
. There is also a mini challenge for under 3s to get
them involved too.
Craft Club – Saturday 7

September 10.30 – 12 noon
Get creative with our craft session. Suitable for children aged
5+ accompanied by an adult - 50p per child.
Storytime – Tuesdays from 10
th
September 2.15
Our popular Storytime sessions return for the start of the
school term. Pre-school children of all ages welcome for sto-
ries, rhymes and songs. These free of charge sessions are a
great way to encourage our youngest users to love books.
Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Lego Club – Saturday 28

See what you can build at our Lego Club and add to our Lego
display. Suitable for accompanied children aged 5-11. Duplo
is also available for the under 5s. 50p per child.
Age UK Community Hubs – Tuesday 3

With us on the first Tuesday of every month, Age UK offer
free information, advice and support for the over 65s. No
appointment needed, just drop in for help and guidance on
how to continue to live independently.

Craft Shoebox Coffee Morning for
Operation Christmas Child
A BIG THANK YOU to everyone.

shoebox appeal.

Victorian Crime and Punishment
Using local case studies, we study the changes to the law and
Society in the 19th Century- topics include The Law Courts,
The Victorian Police Force, Transportation, Juvenile Crime,
Prisons and Prison Life with a final session on the way authors
used real crime to develop the new genre of Detective Crime
novels.
