Hollywood or Bust

is the Breast Cancer Support Group for

breast cancer patients attending Hinchingbrooke Hospital.

Meetings are on the first Wednesday of the month in the

Education Centre at the hospital, at 7 p.m.

It is free to

attend.

Buckden Local History Society

The Chairman, Committee and Members would like pass on

their congratulations to the winners of their annual Buckden

C.E. Primary School Prize, awarded on Wednesday 17 July:

Grace Barker and Ellie Teasdale - Key Stage 1

Dylan Stanford Lees and Nate Woodmore - Key Stage 2

All children displayed a special interest and enthusiasm for

history throughout the year and were awarded with a copy

of Buckden A Huntingdonshire Village and a £10 book token.

The Buckden Local History Society begins its new 2019/20

season with the following talk:

Myths of the Battle of Britain

Mark Bunting looks at the myths and realities of what was to

become known as the Battle of Britain - one of the most

important battles of World War 2.
