November 2016

November 2016

Traditionally by this point in the year we would

be seeing lots of autumnal weather. Whilst the

temperature has undoubtedly dropped, we are

still generally seeing sunny days and clear eve-

nings. I can’t help but feel we have a shock

coming soon!

Guy Fawkes night is nearly upon us and whilst

we enjoy the spectacular visuals and noises

that fireworks provide, there is an appropriate

time of day for their use, and some of our ani-

mal friends are rather less keen. Please show

due consideration for others when planning your

events and when using fireworks.

If you visit one of our hostelries or the library,

make sure you pick up a copy of the Buckden &

Diddington Rights of Way leaflet. There are

some fantastic local walks to undertake in the

immediate area, and we would heartily recom-

mend trying some. There is something special

about a walk on a crisp, sunny autumn morning!

As we said last month, this is your magazine so

please do tell us what you’d like to see in it!

Please remember to visit the website. There are

often articles there that we could not fit into the

print edition, as well as information that arrives

during the month:
