YOUR PARISH CHURCH
Remembrance Sunday is one of those occasions when the
whole village meets in St Mary’s. The church is always
packed and provides a beautiful setting for the service.
The Parish Church is a wonderful asset to the whole com-
munity as a place for whole village services and events and
also for family weddings, baptisms and funerals. The church
is open every day for use by anyone.
This beautiful building is in need of urgent repairs to parts of
the roof, to the stonework and to the outer walls of the vestry
to keep it both watertight and safe for visitors. Inevitably the
costs of such repairs are not small and we need to raise
around £100,000 in total from grants and fund-raising initia-
tives.
Our Restoration Appeal is reaching out to the whole commu-
nity and asking for your help. So please give in any way that
you can, whether by giving a donation

Travelling Nativity Sets:
Our knitted nativity figures begin their Christmas journey on
Advent Sunday. Their journey around Buckden symbolises
the journey that Mary and Joseph took from Nazareth to
Bethlehem. If you would like to host a set for 1 or 2 nights,
please sign the list at the back of church or contact:- Anne
(812789) or Catherine (07746 599776)
