December 2019

Huntingdonshire Health Walk Scheme

December 2019

This month, barring Wednesday the 25th and Friday the 27th,

there are 6 Huntingdon group health walks planned on

Wednesdays at 2pm and Fridays at 10am. Details of them can

be obtained from both the sources below and the brochure.

Toilet and refreshment facilities are normally available at the

rendezvous.

There are about 30 health walks, led by trained leaders, allocat-

ed to the Huntingdon group. They are fine for anyone able to

maintain an exercise-walking pace for an hour or so. There are

also 20-30-minute walks from the Buckden GP Surgery on

Thursdays from 10am

Suitable clothing/footwear plus a small bottle of drinking water

are key accessories.

The scheme, largely financed by council subsidies, values vol-

untary contributions by walkers; especially as accident insur-

ance cover is provided.

Please check the website www.huntingdonshire.gov.uk/

healthwalks, or contact Danielle Sancaster on 01480 387047,

email activelifestyles@huntingdonshire.gov.uk for details.
