The second consultation exercise undertaken by the Highways Authority on the
proposed route for
the A14
opened on Monday 7
th
April 2014. The consultation runs for 10 weeks and will close at mid-
night onSunday 15
th
June 2014. All residents are invited toemail or write toHighwayswith their opinion
on the scheme. The scheme includes a 1.5billion new road and upgrade to the current A14 andA1and
it is hoped to be open in 2019. The first consultation took place last Autumn, after which the govern-
ment dropped the proposal to toll thenew road. Exhibitions are an opportunity to fill out aquestionnaire,
view the proposals and speak to a member of the Highways team about the proposals. Exhibition
