Buckden Village Hall - Annual General Meeting

1 October 2019 at 7.30 pm

Buckden Village Hall will be hosting its Annual General Meeting

(“AGM”) on 1 October at the Village Hall at 7.30 pm. All cur-

rent trustees will be stepping down and offering themselves

for re-election. We welcome any Buckden resident who would

be interested in joining as a trustee as well as representatives

from groups that regularly uses the Hall: schools, youth clubs,

churches, volunteer organisations, etc. Being a trustee is not a

major time commitment, and even a few more trustees or

project volunteers would make a difference to the Village Hall.

The Village Hall has ambitious plans to renovate the Hall, in-

cluding the pitches, pavilion and storage areas as well as the

Valley to create better amenities for Buckden residents. We

need interested people to add crucial support for these pro-

jects and help fund-raise with major charities. We are already

in well-advanced discussions with the Football Association for

a grant. The Village Hall has also been awarded Hallmark 1

status from ACRE, and we are pursuing awards 2 and 3 this

year.

If you are interested in getting involved and improving the fa-

cilities in our Village, please get in touch. You don’t need to be

a full-time trustee – we also have smaller working groups for

specific projects. Trustee meetings are held once a month.
