Huntingdonshire Health Walk Scheme Sept. 2019
This month, there are four Wednesday and four Friday walks at
2pm and 10am respectively ; the walks are on average 60
minutes long and are led by trained walk-leaders. The walk on
the 20th is from Buckden Marina, and there is a new walk on
the 13th from Abbots Ripton. Full details appear on the web-

Anyone able to maintain an exercise-walking pace for up to 75
minutes should enjoy these walks. Suitable clothing and foot-
wear plus a small bottle of drinking water are key accessories.
The walks are free but voluntary contributions are welcome, as
there is a generous council subsidy and accident insurance cov-
er is provided. Refreshment and toilet facilities are normally
provided at the chosen rendezvous.
Please note that there are also 20-30-minute walks from the
Buckden GP Surgery every Thursday from 10am.

MONDAY CLUB
We are a social group of retired ladies who meet fortnightly
at 2.30pm in the Millard Room at Buckden Village Hall.
We enjoy a cup of tea as we chat and participate in a raffle.
At each meeting we either have a guest speaker or partici-
pate in an activity of our own.
