Knit Lit

Do you enjoy knitting and a good book? Our friendly group

meets on alternate Fridays. In January Knit Lit meetings are

on Friday 4

and 18

th

from 8pm. Knitters of all ages and abili-

ties welcome!

help, we can book you an appointment with one of our vol-

unteers.

Buckden Bites

Did you know…?

...Cranfield Way and Cranfield Close were named after Mr

WW Cranfield and his sister, who gave the village a rifle range

which they owned. He was a farmer, generous benefactor

and sports enthusiast.

...York Yard was named after a family of butchers who lived

here in the early 19th century.

...Wolsey Gardens was named after Thomas Wolsey, who

visited Buckden when he was the Dean of Lincoln in 1503 and

Bishop of Lincoln in 1514.
